Summer reading

The used book store had many books for me today.
I have set this book up in my office hoping
to be inspired to do my garden journal again.
I do not paint but I do take pictures.

A photo essay of the gardens would be fun to do.
I would like to catch up with my almanac too.

I wanted to read a story and this biography is very interesting.
I like the way Rhodes writes. This biography of John Audubon is entertaining.

This looks interesting for bed time reading.

I have read "Sleeping with a Sunflower" many times.
I shall keep it with my other garden journals.
I am needing garden inspiration for 2009!

Hi Sherry, I have two of these books. I have read a couple of Sue Hubble's books. I kept the Edwardian Lady book. It is so charming. I have always wanted to do something like that. I don't know if I have the patience for this kind of work. Like you I take pictures more than paint or draw. I would like for it to be the other way around but I just don't do it.

Dear Lisa,
I am inside in the afternoons reading now. It is too hot to be outside!Come September I will reclaim the gardens.
I was very pleased when I found "A Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady" at the second hand book store. Having it up on book stand looks pretty and hopfully I will be inspired. I keep lots of journals but mostly it is just a quick note about this or that.
I have often thought I would write monthly books. Her diary is so pretty I just might get to my "books". My pictures would make for a pretty book.
I do not draw well. I have tried. You have talent!
I am enjoying the Audubon biography.
I did not know anything about his life.
